Institute Overview
The Science of Strategy Institute is an
international organization dedicated to popularizing the strategic
reflexes gained from learning the classical front-line strategy of Sun Tzu's The Art of War. Sun Tzu provides a skill set
for making good decisions for identifying and
pursuing opportunities in the competitive environment.
Strategic reflexes are not a method of
strategic planning (more
about that here). Sun Tzu's methods are used by individuals at
every level to make good
decisions in situations that cannot be planned. Its methods are used on the surface of organizations where
they make contact with the competitive world. The value of
classical front-line strategy is in helping everyone work together even when
they are making independent decisions on the front-lines of competition.
This strategic training gives individuals the ability to see, communicate, and act
effectively moment to moment in dealing with dynamic, unpredictable competitive situations.
Our Founder

The Institute was founded by Gary Gagliardi, the world's
leading authority on Sun Tzu and the use of classical strategy in today's
world. An internationally known speaker, Gary has taught Sun Tzu's system
of strategic awareness to some of the largest organizations in the world. Gary's
award-winning books have been translated into languages
around the world. In the last four years, ten of
Gary's books on strategy have won award recognition in seven different
nonfiction categories. Read more about him at www.GaryGagliardi.com.
Our Trainers
Our trainers come from a variety of business backgrounds and have
experience in a wide variety of business training methodologies. Several
work as college professors as well as members of the Institute. What
unites them is the dedication they share to promoting Sun Tzu's principles
of winning without conflict. We have trainers promoting the principles and tools of strategy from Sun Tzu's
The Art of War in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.
